Meet The Elders

I grew up far from God but came to Christ when I was 20 through the influence of the transformed lives of college students.

I attended the University of Illinois and received a degree in Civil Engineering and worked in that field for 7 1/2 years.

I met my wife, Carol Anne, at the Baptist Student Union and we both received master's degrees from Southwestern Seminary. We will have been married for 35 years in January. We have three great daughters: Rachel, who is a 1st grade teacher at Union who married Chad Coleman last July: Amy, who is an instructor at Tulsa University in the deaf education dept, who married Nick 3 years ago and is a new mom of Rueben Mac, who was born in March 2009: Shannon who graduated from OSU in May and is working as a manger at Dillard's in Tulsa.

Carol Anne and I served in Campus Ministry for 15 years at Tulsa University. We started attending Liberty Church in 1993 where we saw a deep and refreshing work of God that we wanted to be a part of, and I started serving as an elder in 1994. At the elder's invitation, I joined the ministry team full time at Liberty in June of 1998.

I seek to focus on adults, and I want to invest my life in spiritual reproducers and be used of God to introduce people to Christ and help them grow spiritually. I want to help build pockets of healthy, Biblically functioning communities all through Liberty Church.
