Meet The Elders
Drew Files
My wife Lisa and I have been married for 21 years and have 3 boys, Colson, Cooper and Carter. In the summer of 1984, I prayed that God would forgive me and started believing in Jesus to lead my life. I was 21 yrs old. Lisa and I joined Liberty Church in 1989. I was asked to be an elder in the fall of 2007 after serving on teams and leading teams at Liberty for several years. My wife and I had been coming to Liberty for several years and we loved the people and our small group. We were both growing up as a couple and followers of Christ. I was asked to attend a leadership conference in Chicago at Willowcreek and accepted. There I heard and saw a church that was actually reaching the lost. Naturally and lovingly, a church family inviting their pre-christian friends to worship services and small group gatherings that were interesting, not boring and clearly presented a Jesus-centered message. They were earning a right to be heard by loving their friends with the intention of helping them see Jesus more clearly. I knew at that time that the Lord wanted me to be a part of a church like that and that Liberty had that potential. I still deeply believe that same mission.helping all people change and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.© 2010 Liberty Church. Site by Spiffco Web Designs
